Get excited! In less than a full week, Carly Rae Jepsen's newest album "E"?MO"?TION" will finally be released.

The star infected millions of brains with her first single "Call Me Maybe" in 2012, and has released a fine number of annoyingly catchy songs since. We still find ourselves humming the tunes from time to time now.

There's no doubt that she's likely cooked up a few sticking songs this time around as well. The singer sat down with Buzzfeed to discuss where she drew inspiration from on her upcoming album and what she likes most about it.

"I think I like the '80s hint to it," she admitted to the site. "It started after seeing Cyndi Lauper while I was standing side-stage at a festival show in Osaka and then again in Tokyo, and by the end of those two performances I just kind of had this idea in mind that I wanted to add some "'80s flair to whatever I did next."

When asked what her favorite song off the record was, Carly admits that it's hard to decide. "It definitely depends on my mood."

It's hard for us to choose, mainly because we've yet to hear it! We're sure we'll find it equally difficult after.

In the meantime, listen to her newest single "Your Type" below!
