After 2.3 billion Youtube views, you thought we were done with “Gangnam Style”, right? Wrong!

Psy’s K-pop anthem just happened to kick start a girl from Beijing back into consciousness. After spending 258 days in a coma due to a brain hemorrhage, Ying Nan woke up after her mother sang her Psy’s club-banger.

According to Beijing News, doctors told the ten-year-old girl’s mother that it was extremely unlikely that her daughter would ever wake up, but she never gave up hope.

Liu Ruixiang, the girl’s devoted mother, would sit by her bed everyday and give her massages in hopes of a recovery. But one day in late September, Liu decided she would hum her daughter’s favorite song by her bedside. As soon as she started, she watcher her daughter’s face light up and smile. Boom! She was back.

Ying Nan’s parents took a year off from their jobs to stay with their daughter. Money was tight due to all of the medical expenses, but Psy’s horse riding dance came to the rescue.

Ying Nan is now rehabilitating. She can stand-up, walk, and is slowly teaching herself how to speak again, but it’s only a matter of time before she’s singing with her boy, Psy. Lesson learned. Never underestimate the power of K-pop.
