You gotta be a special kind of stupid to impersonate a law enforcement officer these days. If that isn’t enough, doing it while intoxicated brings the absurdity to a higher level. Meet Logan Shaulis, a 19-year-old juvenile looking to play cop for a night. His moonlighting escapades took place over the weekend while on Route 601 in a city near Pittsburgh. Having a few drinks and being under the influence, Shaulis decided to have some fun at the expense of his fellow drivers. Shaulis had the brass to set up a fake DUI checkpoint and request all the pertinent information of drivers he stopped along the way. The stunt didn’t last long for a wide variety of reasons, namely because Shaulis was drunk and this ordeal went down around the hours of 3 and 4 a.m.

Most people are aware that DUI checkpoints will be up around the time bars, clubs, and restaurants close. Some cities post them in the middle of the night where drivers could potentially be hopping from venue to venue. Not cognizant of his surroundings, Shaulis was clearly a mess according to police reports. We give him credit for trying to execute this while being completely inebriated, but damn at least try to sell it better. Slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, a BB gun, and handcuffs only makes Shaulis look like a typical overnight security guard protecting a Burger King. While Shaulis was charged with a laundry list of crimes, we’re certain that he’ll have his revenge at some point in the future.
