ONE DIRECTION have shattered streaming records in the U.K. with their first single release since the departure of ZAYN MALIK.

Fans racked up 2.03 million streams of Drag Me Down to propel the boy band to the top of the charts on Friday (07Aug15).

The new-look four-piece beats Calvin Harris and Disciples' How Deep Is Your Love to the top of the new countdown, while Little Mix's Black Magic falls to three.

Meanwhile, The Maccabees top the album chart with Marks To Prove It, just 1,300 copies ahead of Lianne La Havas' Blood. (KL/WNWC/KG)
