For all the clutch shots Paul Pierce has made in his career, he hit a few big ones Eastern Conference Semifinals series between the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards. For all of Pierce’s heroics in this series though, his final bullet did not count.

It’s a brutal way to lose, but the Wizards had their chance after they took the lead late in the fourth quarter after trailing by 15 points in the third. Give credit to the Hawks for hanging tough though and forcing Pierce to take a contested shot.

The fans in Washington D.C have had a rough couple of days when it comes to their respective teams. Their Capitals were recently eliminated by the New York Rangers in overtime of Game 7 after holding a 3-1 series and now the Wizards exit stage left as well.
