Innovation is the key to progression in any discipline or art form. And film making is no different.

"Victoria" a product of German Actor turned Filmmaker Sebastian Schipper.. who you might have seen in Tom Tykwer's "Run Lola Run" playing Mike, is within itself a marvel and wonder of filmmaking that has some of the greatest filmmakers in awe.

Victoria is apparently a film that is 140 minute journey filmed in one solid take. No Edits or Edit tricks. Which in essence means this entire film had to be prepared and well rehearsed and choreographed before letting it all loose in one take. Sorta like a Domino show or an OK Go Video (no rhyme intended).

The film follows the journey of Victoria, played by Spanish actress Laia Costa, as a tourist and partygoer enjoying the Berlin nightlife. At around 4 in the morning she meets 3 German dudes who convince her into joining them in a bank robbery.

The film has won a handful of Awards and Film Festivals in Germany.. and even earned the praises of "Requiem For A Dream" Director Darren Aronofsky.

The film opens in select theaters October 9th, and I'm sure film enthusiasts will be curious to see this all play out.

Until then check out the trailer
